Christie Clinic Department of Cardiology is excited to announce the expansion of its services to McLean County. Dr. Anitha Perinchery will begin seeing patients at Christie Clinic in Bloomington on Empire the first and third Wednesday of the month beginning June 7, 2023. Dr. Perinchery specializes in non-invasive cardiology and is dedicated to transforming patient care and providing community education on heart health.
Dr. Perinchery attended T.D. Medical College in Alappuzha, India. She completed her residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Perinchery then went on to complete her Cardiovascular Medicine fellowship at The Brooklyn Hospital/New York Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, New York.
When asked why she chose the field of cardiology, Dr. Perinchery reflected on her own health history “At the age of 3, I developed viral myocarditis and was admitted in the hospital for heart failure. I stayed there for many weeks and am told that was when I first said I wanted to be a heart doctor. I just never changed my mind.”
