Are you noticing more spots appear on your skin over the years? It is not uncommon for more benign lesions – such as seborrheic keratosis, cherry angiomas, sebaceous hyperplasia and milia – to be present as time goes on. These lesions can be treated cosmetically with little down time.

For routine skin exams, we recommend children be seen by a dermatology provider in their early teens. At this age, we can monitor any acne flare-ups and keep an eye on sun exposure. But this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t consider having your child seen sooner if you see something of concern.
