ENROLLMENT QUESTIONS

  How do I register for a MyChart patient portal account?

Did you receive an activation letter with a Patient Portal Activation Code at your provider visit?

  • Keep this code for reference in the below account setup
  • Click here to sign up for a patient portal account
  • Click Sign Up Now
  • You will be asked to enter your Patient Portal Activation Code, Zip Code and Date of Birth to create your account
  • If you need a patient activation code, you can scroll down on the signup page and click signup online to receive a code

If you have not received an activation letter – visit www.christieclinic.com. Click on Patient Portal.

  • Continue to the MyChristie Patient Portal Login 
  • Click Sign Up Now
  • Click No Activation Code? Sign up online.
  • Fill out the information to request an activation code
  • You will receive an activation code and can continue to this step

If you have a MyCarle patient portal account.

  • If you have an established MyCarle account, you can use the same username and password for your Christie Clinic patient portal. If you are both a Carle and Christie Clinic patient, you will be able to view your medical records and appointments for both organizations.

  I forgot my password or my password is not working.

You can click the Forgot password? link on the sign-in page to reset your password online. A verification code will be sent to your email so you can reset the password.

  My activation code does not work, what should I do?

For your security, your activation code expires after 60 days and is no longer valid after the first time you use it. If you still have problems, please request a new activation code online.


MEDICAL RECORDS

  When can I see my test results in my patient portal?

Your test results are released to your patient portal account generally within 1-12 days. If you have questions about your results or they have not posted in that time, please send a patient portal message to your provider.

  If I send a message to my provider or nurse, when can I expect a reply?

You will generally receive an answer within 1-3 business days. Please note that the patient portal should not be used for urgent situations. Please contact your medical center if the situation requires immediate attention or dial 911 if it is an emergency.

  How can I link my medical records into my patient portal from other providers, both local and other providers?

If you have an additional provider that uses the Epic MyChart medical record platform, you can connect and transfer those records in your Christie Clinic patient portal.

Can I view a family member's health record in patient portal account?

Yes, this is called proxy access. To share your information or receive access to another person's information, please complete this proxy form. Access to a child's health information in your patient portal account is dependent on the age of the child and can no longer be accessed when the child turns 18 years old.


APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING

  What types of appointments can I schedule in the patient portal?

You can schedule appointments online with most Christie Clinic providers. Until you visit your primary care or specialist in person, your patient portal provider list may be limited. The list of available providers autopopulates based on providers you have had an appointment with, have a future appointment coming up, or is your primary care provider (PCP). There is no way to manually edit this list.

If you do not see a provider listed in your patient portal that you need to schedule an appointment with, please visit www.christieclinic.com and click online scheduling to choose the provider and available time. After you make your selection and sign into your patient portal account, your appointment information will be viewable.

  Why can't I see all my providers listed?

Until you visit your primary care or specialist in person, your patient portal provider list may be limited. The list of available providers autopopulates based on providers you have had an appointment with, have a future appointment coming up, or is your primary care provider (PCP). There is no way to manually edit this list.

  Can I schedule an appointment for someone other than myself?

Yes. You can schedule an appointment for someone if you have received proxy access to that person's health record. To schedule an appointment, start in their record and follow the same steps as if you would to schedule an appointment for yourself.
