Why I Chose Healthcare

I grew up surrounded by people who were devoted to helping others. My father was a volunteer firefighter, and my grandmother was a nurse. Both were huge influences in my life. I knew that I wanted to be a nurse from a young age because it would allow me to serve others.

Department of Family Medicine

In the Department of Family Medicine, Kathryn provides comprehensive, integrated care for patients of all ages with a special focus on preventative care including routine checkups, health-risk assessments, immunizations, and screening tests.

Personal

I was born and raised in East Central Illinois. I moved to the Saint Louis, MO area to earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, and then returned to the area to be closer to my family. I enjoy the strong sense of community found here.

Throughout my 13 years of nursing, I have cared for every age group. I enjoyed each for different reasons and knew that I wanted the option to care for people of all ages.
