While I specialize in cataract surgery, I see a wide variety of patients and treat various eye diseases from glaucoma to dry eyes. I use a personal approach with patients and emphasize good communication. I develop a partnership with each patient and tailor treatments that work best with each patient’s overall health and lifestyle. Educating patients about their eye issues and carefully explaining treatment, empowers the patient and improves outcomes. I also focus on preventative care, including annual diabetic exams and maximizing vitamin supplements to benefit the eyes.

I have been an active volunteer with the Scouts for years and have enjoyed watching these girls develop confidence and leadership skills. It has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.

The first time I saw eye surgery, I knew that was what I wanted to do. It is a delicate surgery with a high level of precision. My years of piano lessons prepared me well for the fine skills needed for cataract surgery. Being an Ophthalmologist is so much more than just eye surgery. Vision is critically important for the quality of life and how we interact with each other.
