Why I Chose Healthcare

I started my military career as an Army Military Policeman (MP). As a MP, I would occasionally have to escort injured individuals to the hospital or complete reports on motor vehicle accidents. Part of my duties, during this process, was to work with EMTs, Paramedics, Nurses, and Physicians. I found myself becoming increasingly interested in the medical profession. I decided that I wanted to make a career change and I re-enlisted in the Army to become an Army Medic. I then set medical education goals. With the help of the military and many years of study, I was able to earn a bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degree. I must note that certain individuals motivated me over the years. Without their inspiration, I would not have achieved these goals. To them, I am forever grateful.
