Christie Clinic Department of Family Medicine extends a warm welcome to Usman Qasim, MD, as he joins the team. Dr. Qasim provides comprehensive, integrated care for patients of all ages with a special interest in acute and chronic disease management and care coordination. In addition to diagnosing and treating illnesses, he also provides preventative care including routine checkups, health-risk assessments, immunizations, and screening tests.
Dr. Qasim earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of California in Biology: Microbiology and Immunology and went on to attend the American University of the Caribbean to receive his Doctorate in Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Illinois State Medical Society.
