How did you get to where you are today?:
I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to get my CNA certification while I was still in high school. I will be starting a nursing program in the fall of 2024 to further my education in healthcare and hopefully become a Pediatric Oncologist.
What drew you to Christie Clinic?:
I decided Christie Clinic was going to be the place for me when I found out it was physician-owned. Knowing that I would be working directly with the physician owners gives me, and every team member, the opportunity to offer new ideas. I also love that Christie Clinic focuses on a positive and encouraging environment. It allows us the opportunity to thrive professionally.
Tell us WHY you chose your career path:
As a young child I essentially grew up in a children's hospital after my brother was diagnosed with cancer. Getting to see the staff create light in such a dark time in so many families' lives was very inspiring. Having that experience at such a young age was a blessing in disguise and was what inspired my love for healthcare and my desire to help people.
Is there anyone who helped you along the way?:
My Health Occupations teacher pushed me to not give up and to keep pursuing my certification in healthcare even when I was facing tough times.
