In the Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Edwards sees patients ranging from birth to 18 years of age for acute care, wellness checks, school physicals, and recommended immunizations for all age ranges.
I am from a large extended family and have always loved children. While working at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention after college, I also became interested in health and wellness. Pediatrics was a natural fit for me! I can’t think of a better job than helping children through the difficult times or illnesses in their lives, while also encouraging their physical, mental, social, and emotional health.

I want my patients to feel like they are listened to, well-cared for, and that we are all on a team to keep them healthy. I strive to be down to earth and approachable to patients and their families. With a PhD in Community Health, I have the privilege of looking at health as multi-dimensional. My goal is to help children and adolescents develop into healthy, well-functioning adults within the context of their families, schools, and communities at large.
