My desire to become a physician began early. At a young age, I was a bit of a hypochondriac. Whenever I had a symptom, I remember running to read the encyclopedia; concerned that I had some serious disease. I knew this was the start of something. Later in college, I worked at Beckwith Hall, a dormitory for students with disabilities. Through experiences such as this and many others, I was able to use my medical knowledge in a meaningful way to help people, which sealed my decision to become a physician.
My wife and I attended the University of Illinois for our undergraduate studies. In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar, basketball, volleyball and golf.

I had the special opportunity of being trained in both internal medicine and pediatrics. I chose this field because I wanted to take care of people of all ages from infancy to adulthood. It also provides me an opportunity to take care of them through the course of their life and their family's lives.
