I had my mind set on medicine as a career at a very early age. There was no second choice.
Outside of my medical practice, I find myself drawn to the theater. Over the last 2 decades, I have been involved with Broadway as co-producer/investor in a few musicals including Tony awarded shows such as The Drowsy Chaperone, Rock of Ages, Christmas Story the Musical, Memphis, In the Heights (Lin Manuel Miranda's first Tony Award), Matilda the Musical, Something Rotten, Mrs. Doubtfire the Musical and others, and a few plays including Hand to God , Talk Radio (Liev Schreiber), The Mountaintop (Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Bassett), and most recently Goodnight Oscar (Sean Hayes). Locally, I have been involved with Community Players Theater since 1997 but have been on hiatus since the birth of my twins. I also enjoy playing golf with friends, attending exercise classes at Four Seasons, and traveling to places I've never been to. Most of all, I enjoy my role as father to my twins and husband to my wife Dagmar.

It was only due to a stroke of luck that I ended up with Urology. I always knew I wanted to practice surgery. In my last year of medical school, I started to focus on Orthopedics as a specialty, trying to follow my uncle's path. When the chance at exposure to Urology came, however, I knew I found my calling and never regretted my decision. Urology gives me so much joy and satisfaction. It combines different aspects of medicine including surgical, dermatologic and medical treatment of diseases involving the genitourinary tract.
