Advocate. Coordinator.
Cancer treatment is becoming increasingly complex requiring the expertise of multiple disciplines in different locations. The psychological, medical, financial and social challenges that patients face can be daunting. For example, a typical patient with a new diagnosis of breast cancer will interact with Radiology, General Surgery, Oncology, Genetic Counseling, Radiation Oncology and multiple ancillary service providers.
